About

B & D Genetics LLC is located in Cherry Valley, AR, and is owned and operated by Brittany and David Carwell. Brittany and David met while they were both obtaining Master’s degrees in Reproductive Physiology from Louisiana State University. While at LSU they worked at the Reproductive Biology Center. Here they were exposed to and assisted with advanced reproductive techniques in cattle, sheep, goats, white-tailed deer and horses. These techniques included : semen and embryo collection and cryopreservation, RIA and ELISA hormone assays, cloning, in-vitro fertilization, and embryo splitting/biopsy.

Cherry Valley is also home to B & D Land and Cattle Company LLC, which is also owned and operated by Brittany and David. This company operates a commercial cow-calf herd, which has been transitioned into an embryo transfer recipient/calf development herd that works with purebred breeders in the MidSouth.
